Introducing the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ

2025 Cadillac OPTIQ parked in front of building

The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ is a sleek, all-electric SUV that provides all the comfort, and stable handling you expect from a Cadillac. We're going to dive in and look at the highlights of this exciting vehicle.

Motor and Battery Power

The OPTIQ has dual electric motors. The larger motor does most of the work and connects to the front axle, while the smaller one powers the rear axle, giving you AWD capability. The two motors combined deliver 300 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque. They're powered by an 85.0 kWh Ultium battery pack with a Combined Charging System Type 1 (CCS1) battery port.

The CSS1 port allows for both DC fast charging and Level 2 AC charging. With DC fast charging, you can get up to 79 miles in 10 minutes with a maximum charging speed of 150 kW. AC charging provides 33 miles or 55 miles in one hour, depending on whether you use the standard 11.2 kW rate or the available 19.2 kW option. On a full battery charge, you can easily travel up to 302 miles.

Regen on Demand

On a non-EV, when you apply the brakes, the kinetic energy generated by your vehicle's movement is converted into heat by the friction that stops the wheels. This heat is rapidly lost. Regen on Demand allows this otherwise wasted energy to be collected and used more productively. It also reduces wear and tear on the braking system, particularly the brake pads that produce the friction during regular braking.

Regen on Demand is controlled by a paddle behind your steering wheel. The faster and harder you pull the paddle toward you, the quicker your OPTIQ stops. At the same time, the front motor temporarily becomes a generator that converts the kinetic energy into electricity. This electricity is used to recharge the battery and extend your driving range.

Driver Modes

The OPTIQ features four drive modes accessible via the Driver Mode app on your 33" display screen or by pressing the V button on the left side of the steering wheel. Tour Mode is the one you'll use most often, as it's designed for regular driving and provides a smooth, relaxed experience. Sport Mode enhances control and handling even further while providing faster acceleration and braking response and a more aggressive motor sound.

Snow/Ice Mode enhances traction on slippery surfaces by precisely adjusting power to the wheels. The final mode, My Mode, allows you to customize acceleration, braking, suspension, steering, and sound enhancement to your liking.

To fully appreciate the OPTIQ, you need to drive it for yourself. Contact us today at AutoNation Cadillac West Palm Beach, and book your test drive.

What's New for 2026 in the Cadillac Escalade IQ

If you’ve been thinking about an electric vehicle, but have been reluctant to give up luxury, you should look at the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ, an all-electric SUV that is pushing the boundaries of what a luxury electric SUV can be. And in 2026, there’s a new model, the first-ever Escalade IQL, and Cadillac has also enhanced the Escalade IQ’s features across all trim levels. So, if you're drawn to long-range capability, the latest technology, or a first-class interior experience, you should consider the Escalade IQ. The Arrival of the All-New 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL The biggest news for the Cadillac Escalade IQ lineup is the introduction of the first-ever Escalade IQL. This long-wheelbase variant of the Escalade IQ adds 4.2-in of overall length, bringing the total to 228.5 inches — making it one of the longest full-size electric SUVs in its segment. That added length translates directly into passenger comfort. Third-row legroom grows from 32.3-in in the Escalade IQ to 36.7-in in the IQL. Cargo space behind the third row also expands to 24.2 cu ft, including the eTrunk, with a maximum cargo space of 137.4 cu ft. The Escalade IQL is available in four models: Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and Premium Sport. Each trim builds on the last with upgraded technology, interior refinements, and charging capabilities. Cadillac-Estimated 460 Miles of Range The 2026 Escalade lineup has serious range for an electric SUV. The Escalade IQL offers a Cadillac-estimated 460 miles of range on a full charge, while the Escalade IQ delivers an estimated 465 miles. Both figures come from the same 205 kWh, 24-module battery shared across the lineup. To put that in perspective, the average U.S. driver covers around 40 miles per day. That means most owners could go well over a week without needing to recharge. And when it is time to charge, both models support 350 kW public DC fast charging, adding up to 116 miles of range in about 10 minutes for the IQL. For buyers who want faster home charging, the Premium Luxury and Premium Sport trims support a 19.2 kW onboard charging module, delivering up to 36 miles of range per hour when paired with compatible equipment. Advanced Technology Comes Standard The 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ and IQL are equipped with some of Cadillac's most advanced technology features, and several of them come standard across all models. The Escalade and the Escalade IQL come with the 55"" Horizon Display™, a curved panel that spans the entire front dashboard and integrates the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system into one seamless interface. Google built-in compatibility and a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capability keep passengers connected throughout every drive. Super Cruise® hands-free driver assistance technology is also standard, offering hands-free driving on thousands of compatible highway miles across North America. All models include a three-year OnStar One plan to support the system. A comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance features — including Blind Zone Steering Assist, Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, and HD Surround Vision — rounds out the safety technology. Higher trims add even more. The available Executive Second-Row Seating Package brings dual 12.6-in touchscreen displays, two wireless phone charging pads, stowable tray tables, massaging seats, and a 42-speaker AKG® Studio Reference Audio System to the rear cabin. Available Night Vision thermal imaging is offered on Premium Luxury and Premium Sport models. Performance That Matches the Prestige Both models share the same dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain, producing up to 750 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque in Velocity Max — enough to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in an estimated 4.7 seconds. Towing capacity reaches up to 7,500 lbs, giving real hauling capability without giving up electric efficiency. Ride quality is managed through Air Ride Adaptive Suspension and Magnetic Ride Control, which continuously adapt to road conditions to deliver a smooth, composed drive. The 4-Wheel Steer with Cadillac Arrival Mode reduces the turning radius at low speeds.  Available 24-in wheels — the largest ever offered on an Escalade — add a bold visual statement to match the performance. A Spacious, Premium Interior for Every Row The interior of the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL reflects what's new in the Cadillac Escalade IQ family's commitment to luxury from front to back. The cabin seats 7 across three rows, with generous legroom at every position. Standard interior features include a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row bucket seats, a power-folding third row, and Active Noise Cancellation, and a SkyGlass roof with infrared and UV coatings to help keep the interior comfortable in all conditions. The eTrunk under the hood provides 12.2 cu ft of secure, weather-sealed storage, freeing up cabin and rear cargo space for passengers and gear. With the V2H (Vehicle-to-Home) capability available when paired with a GM Energy PowerShift Charger and V2H Enablement Kit, the Escalade IQL can even help power a home during an outage.
